A project started almost 2 years ago, with the idea of creating a dance film surrounding the broad ideas of not feeling good enough to do the things you love, and overcoming them. This project came to an unexpected halt, so unfortunately when I came to edit I found sections were missing and clips wouldn’t flow to create my initial vision. 

Ever since I filmed these clips they’ve played on my mind.  There were definitely a few sections that really worked, and they don’t deserve to be hidden away. I recently returned to edit the two chorus sections and I am so proud of them.

This process has taught me that not everything has to be a perfectly completed project, there’s beauty in everything you’ve worked hard on.

A short snippet of ‘Can We Talk’, a screendance and live dance piece that was devised by LYRA Dance Creative and toured with Cheshire Rural Touring.

The performers danced in unison with this piece that was projected onto the wall behind them.
